Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

ID’s must be presented at the Gate to receive a Festival Wristband. Those without an ID or those under the age of 21, will be given an ‘Underage’ wristband. Those 21+ will be given a ’21+ Wristband’. Please have your ID’s ready upon entering the Festival. Festival is FREE TO ATTEND this year!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is LIMITED at the Festival. Please carpool when possible or use the Hike & Bike Trail on Lady Bird Lake. You may use the two parking lots located to the North on Jesse E. Segovia or the parking lot located to the East of the Festival grounds. We highly suggest taking advantage of the area hike and bike trails, public transportation, and car pooling.  Please do not park on residential streets.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

No outside food or drinks are allowed. The City of Austin Parks are smoke free. If you bring a pet, please be prepared to clean up any pet waste.

Where do proceeds go?

Any proceeds from Austin PRIDE are donated back to the community.

Will there be tickets available at the gate?

The Festival is FREE TO ATTEND this year.

Will you release a list of performance times?

Yes, a full list of performance times will be published in the Austin Chronicle, our FB Event, FB Page and in our Festival App.

When do Festival Gates open?

Festival Gates open at 11am on Saturday, August 23rd.

Is the Parade free to attend/view?

Yes, there is no cost to view the Parade, which starts at 8pm, on Saturday, August 23rd, at the Capitol, marching down Congress and ending at the Congress Bridge/ Cesar Chavez

Are outside food or drinks allowed?

No outside food or drinks are allowed at the Festival.

Bag Policy

To ensure a safe and efficient entry process for all guests, the following bag policy will be in effect at the Austin Pride Festival and Parade:

  • Clear bags only (maximum size 12″ x 6″ x 12″).
  • Small clutches or fanny packs are permitted (maximum size 6.5″ x 4.5″).
  • Medical bags and diaper bags are allowed but subject to inspection.

Not permitted:

  • Backpacks, opaque totes, or large purses
  • Coolers, luggage, or oversized bags

All bags are subject to search at entry. For faster entry, we recommend arriving without a bag whenever possible.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed, but must be on a leash. Pet owners are responsible for pet waste.

RAIN OR SHINE

Event will be held rain or shine. Entrance to the Festival grounds is at your own risk. The Austin Pride Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly or offensive by management.

Persons entering the Festival grounds hereby consent to having their image and/ or likeness, writings, biographical information or recordings of their voice captured or reproduced in any medium, forever and throughout the world, for editorial, educational, promotional, publicity, advertising or any other purpose by TAPF or its affiliates, respective licensees and assigns, partners or the media.
