A celebrated poet, storyteller, and community advocate, Joe’s acclaimed one-man show Patches: A Black Gay Man’s Journey to the Moon centers Black queer love, joy, and resilience.As Director of Community Engagement at Texas Health Action, he works to fight HIV stigma, elevate queer voices, and build community across Texas. This Pride, we honor Joe’s bold authenticity, creative vision, and unwavering commitment to justice.
