WerQ it Out! is Austin Pride’s inaugural Hiring Event & Career Fair. The event is sponsored by Austin Pride, in partnership with Workforce Solutions Capital Area. Formed in 2010, the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation (AGLPF) is the 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to managing and organizing Austin’s annual PRIDE Celebration and Stonewall Rally. The mission of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Foundation is to educate, provide resources, and connect the l esbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Austin, Texas.
WerQ it Out! will be the region’s first large scale recruiting event aimed at providing jobs and resources for members of sexual and gender minorities. The event is free for all and will host numerous employers and agencies from a variety of fields to promote their jobs, internships, career opportunities, and educational programs.
